Post by seboroth »

Hey guys just saw this on ebay and didn't know if anyone else knew of this. It might be worth checking out.

That is nice and is a good price too.

My question is-- which 1.6 will it fit? The SOHC or the DOHC?

They ARE different.

Not that I have a 1.6L anymore... but it is an important question that needs answering.

I'm pretty positive it's the DOHC, it looks almost exactly like my genie header sitting in my bedroom.

I can check real quickly my exhaust gasket and tell you if it's the same mount or not. That'd be the most definite way. I doubt the shipper can tell you which one it fits on.

In the Picture...It's not even remotely close to any b-series mazda motor boltpattern...Far as i know the Sohc and Dohc motors have different bolt-patterns...

either the picture is wrong or, more likely, the seller is a douchebag...

Cy is right; I'm looking at my genie headers and my brand new exhaust gasket that I just bought...

the bolt pattern is very different.
B6 DOHC bolt pattern looks like this:

: . ' ' . :

whereas this one is simply:

Send all ASCII art compliments to my PM box please.

hmm, well that figures. Guess I'll just stick with my gutted front cat till I get a bpt swap, or even better the rx-7 motor swap. Don't know if that one is true or not either, but found it here a lil while ago.
