Adjusting idle speed probs

Post by 1995MX3 »

I tried adjusting the IAA screw as per the instructions in a previous thread i made about joining the forms. It didn't do anything. It maybe put the rpm's up by like 50ish. I need it to go up at least 200 or so. Any other suggestions?

Also, may as well put this here. There is a little leak of oil where the engine meets the transmission. Perhaps like 3 ml's every time i turn the car on and then off. Is there an easy solution to fix oil leaks?.........oh yeah like 1/2 a car noob.

why would you want your idle up that high??.. doesn't that make your shifts shorter, resulting in less speed???

I just want my car not to shake like crazy when im holding the break at a stop light in drive. If i tap the gas a little bit at like 700-800 rpms or so it runs fine and smooth. But what its like right now its kinda like a rumble feeling.

What is the deal with this? Mine does it; other MX3 owners have said the same, and looking around on here--same thing.

It used to really annoy me, when I first got mine. Now that mine's ancient and dented, I don't even notice it or care anymore :)

I've heard everything from motor mounts to vacuum leaks, and many other things. I played around with the idle a little, and just gave up.

Seems like it doesn't do it if you put it in neutral.
