Help! motor took a dive..references for low mileage BP

I just had my motor take a crap in my 93 mx3 sohc and decided I might as well do the BP swap since im yanking the old pos engine out. What places would you recommend for a decently priced and more importantly reliable(not thrashed) japanese 40k-60k. Ive had junkyards give me "good motors" only for them to suck a-- and I REALLY dont want to get screwed over again. Any help is appreciated. o im in oregon too so a west coast place is prefrered. thanks again.
