The info is there as I have found it but it sometimes does take some looking for. This one made things clearer for me.

The above will show you which VAF you will need to use with each ECU. The KLDE ECU is made for the KLG4 cams to produce 170 bhp through the 2.5 litre bottom end. Chances are it will run a ZE, as will the K8 ECU you will have with your 1.8 V6 now, but not to the desired power you want from this engine. and chances are it wont be doing the engine any favours after a while.

Buy yourself a KL31 or KL36 ECU and be safe. I have seen DE Ecu's on ebay that have a KLZE chip. THESE ARE NOT PERFORMANCE CHIP ECU'S. An electronics dude has simply changed the DE ECU to work as a ZE one would. I dont know how reliable these things are though.

You didn't search, and yeah you are getting flamed. I've written a pretty good ZE swap guide that tells you what ECU and VAF you need. Look under the V6 forum at the top for the ZE swap directions or you can view mine at http://www.atlantamx3.com/mocaforum
