Sorry maybe this is better in the offtopic forum, but it does sorta relate to mx3s...

What's with people hating on car modders? I've been goin nuts the last 3 days trying to source parts and everywhere I turn all I get is flack... you're doing what with this crappy old car?

Couldn't you just buy a insert favorite car for $15000? etc etc...

Jeez... is anyone else experiencing this or am I just in the wrong crowd? :(

I never got this kinda flack fixing up my old escort.

Oh, and I called around a few insurance places to ask if they'd insure for a higher value (including, ie. the mags, etc). Not a single place was willing to do it. What do you guys do? If this thing ends up worth $10k, I'd be royally pissed if it got jacked at work. Is there some sort of (higher) risk insurance company out there?
