Shift Knob

Post by 95Precidia »

Hey I really want an aftermarket shift knob but I want one that will screw straight onto a shifter and not one of the ones that you have to use those 3 little tiny screws and get it to set, they are a pain. Anyone know where I can get one of these?

Thanks

Chris

I've never seen an aftermarket that screws on. MOMO and all other good brands have the set screws. I agree they are a pain in the butt. Mine have fallen out and are lost (MOMO carbon shifter).

If you drill 3 small hoels for the set screws it helps alot. Also, use some lock-tite, and they shouldn't fall out or get loose.

I use a mazdaspeed protege stock shift knob, it looks great and since it is a factory shift knob (just off a different / newer model mazda) it screws right on like the stock shift knob. It is also got a good amount of weight to it, which i like.
this pic I found off google, as i do not have a pic of the one in my mx3.
