Another comparison- showing the angle differences from the crank to the center of the camshaft covers on both motors.

The KJ is a 90* V configuration, the KL is a 60*. Nice work Perry. I hope this is used in any further KJ swap questions.
However, it does bring up a question. I wonder why more Probe and MX-6 guys don't give it a try. I know they have a larger engine bay so I would think it would be much easier to fit into their car, but I've never heard of a KJ Probe or MX-6.

LOL! I am glad to see that my torment is at least educating the Mx-3 masses. I still have not gotten the Millenia fired back up since replacing a piston and both Head gaskets and a few other bits. Not that I tried really hard, but it has been sitting in the driveway for 9 months or so I believe. Honestly I am just so gawd awefully over it that I have no desire to even look at it...much less work on it.

All I lack is buying a few pieces to replace ones I broke and figuring out the configuration of the vacum lines that looks like it wasn't together right when I bought it. LOL!

Anyone wanting to attempt this Swap can buy this non-running Millenia S off of me for the same $500 I paid for it...before putting a couple hundred into it. And come pick it up tomorrow...Hell, Call me I will stay up late and help you load it tonight. HAHAHAH! I think Perry will sell you a mx-3 parts car for around $200 too! ok, now toss the a/c pump on the KL and the p/s pump... the only issue i can see is the fact that the rear head MIGHT interfere with the firewall... also you will need a custom mount for the passenger side as stated above

Jeremy

but for the cost of a KJ-ZEM compared to a KL-ZE, and the potential of the KL over the KJ, that alone would make me keep my KL. However, IF I had KJ laying around, complete with harness and ECU and the like, I would attempt the swap... 1. to say I did it and 2. to utilize the beauty of mazda's R&D and their twin intercoolers that just look sick on the KJ!!

That irrelevant to the Millenia S swap topic of this thread. I've seen that vid before, would be a worthwhile post in the Images/Video section.
