is it worth it?
is it worth it?
So I'm thinking about buying a 92 1.6L mx3...It has a brand new clutch, new cv shafts, new ball joints, a new water pump, a $500 cd player, and a carbon fiber exhuast tip...but it needs struts, tires, it leaks oil, and part of the exhuast is rotting. The car itself is going to cost me $800, and I have $500 to spend fixing it up. How much should I plan on spending to fix it up? And is it worth it, or should I keep on looking for a different car? I don't really know that much about cars, so that's why I'm asking. Thank you.

Has 160k miles, which I'm not too worried about. My mum had a 98 626 and it had close to 300k when she traded it in this year. I've decided to buy it though. it's inspected til next month, so I figure I'll just throw some tires and struts on it for now and worry about the oil pan gasket and the exhaust later. The exhaust isn't too bad, just rusted 3/4s of the way around the pipe in front of the catalitic converter (sp?). Picking it up next weekend
