Hey guys am I off my rocker??

Back in 96 my mom bought a 1995 MX-3. and one day I felt all race happy and floored it on a 3 mile straightaway. after a distance the completely stock mx3 reached 135mph and would go no further, then as I was going down a very long and very slopy hill it hit 155. I posted this story on my local board and a friend of mine found a chart with the top-speed of the 4cyl mx3 to be 112mph, well needless to say I have egg on my face BUT IT friggin well happened! I no longer have the car (my mom sold it like 2 years ago) so I can't prove it so here's where you guys come in, have any of you ever gotten your STOCK MX-3's into such high speeds? No mind you the 135mph was a almost perfectly flat highway so there was incline to aid me. Let me know if this was possible or if the friggin speedo was bad on those things or what the heck happened! thanks~H.T [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

i think your speedo is off, i have a modded 93 gs v6 and have only gotten to 145, although i could have gone faster, they tend to get a lil squirrly when ur goin that fast, who knows though, maybe u had a really really bad a-- specimen of an mx-3

Oh sorry, it was an RS 4cyl 95 auto. Hmm, I'd belive the speedo was off more than anything! Thanks for responding!

GS's in the USA only came in 92-94
