standard alarm

Post by o4_boyracer_no1_o5 »

ive got a bit of a problem with me Mazda mx3 i've had it parked up for 2 months now and its been starting perfectly fine until today....now as its in my garage with the cold weather as well i start it quite alot so its not just lying and tick it over while im fitting my new body kit and spoiler oh yes :D lol.....but my problem is the car wont start now ive got ignition lights yet nothing when i turn the key....my battery is always unhooked to stop the battery draining ive checked it with the volt meter everything is ok....although i did notice it has a firstline alarm which i am aware comes with the car and i think it has an immobilizer ive notice the light don't flash when i hook the battery up which basically resets the alarm the reason i know this is because the alarm sets itself and the repeaters flash but its not doing this now ive still to find a fuse for the alarm and ive also just bought a new battery for the alarm card/fob for the alarm in case this is another problem does any one have any bright ideas as to what it could be and know were the immobilizer goes to if its the starter motor or the ecu and last but not least were a water leak could be coming from i thinks its the rear hatch but no signs of dampness as Scotland rains alot rust leaks can be a problem but my arches are perfect and inner arches too....please help thanks guys

Have you tried jumping it?
What noises does it make when you turn the key? (rrrarrrarr, click click, *silent*)
The fuse for the alarm shouldn't be too far from the module. That may be it, but I doubt it.

i doubt it will be the fuse aswell....doesnt make a single noise and the lights dont die down on the dash either have you ever heard for a micro switch in the door lock that acts as an imobilizer
