Thumbs Up for probinator chip

Post by hgallegos915 »

YEEHAAA

Ok the chip DOES make a big difference (when compared to stock k8)

Does not smoke AT ALL.. its a CLEAN mofo.

It pulls harder... I did notice in some acceleration it feels laggy... BUT i guess it did help. I am using the WRONG vaf.. je50 = mx3. Ill be picking up the kl-02 vaf this weekend in trade for a millenia laternator.. im thinking about it tho.

I can completely spin 1st gear and completely spin 2nd gear (for the fun)

I wonder how it will do with the correct vaf. I get no CEL lights and yet i CAN check for codes. Has vris points set for millenia curved neck. Correct ign and fuel timing.. makes a big diff there. No gas smell.

I recommend this chip even if you have kl31 ecu i guess for the vris points.

THUMBS UP

:2thumbsup:

I have a 92 ecu as well so I can't get ine chipped. I do have a kl01 ecu and kl02 vaf in my garage that i'm gunn get chipped from probinator.

As for you saying you should also chip the kl31 so you egt the proper vris points. i would not touch a kl31 ecu. sell it and chip a klde one.

true because kl31 ecu is worth around 200 dllrs, to get ur klde chipped its like 75 dllrs. The kl31 ecu gives u power but i think the propper tunning and vris points will help more. OR you can get msd window switches. GO probinator ecu. The difference is ALOT. IMO..

yeah he can. costed me around 75 dllrs. Well worth it. Adds around 10 hp over kl31 ecu. As per dyno on his cardomain. Forgot the link.

or you can get the kl31 off the internet and just do your own eproms :) why pay 75 dollars, when people on probetalk have already said what to adjust to give it a more agressive fuel map :) and a eprom burn will only run you 15-25 dollars :) i know i've done it multiple times for a few honda friends, who wanted to use skunk2 ecu's but didnt want to pay the price :)

kl31 ecu file

Why pay 75 dollars when the information is open source and you can do it yourself :) for less, if you just do some searching

You do know that if you use anything less than 92-93 your going to have problems as the lowest fuel your soposed to use in the klze's is 92

ugh nevermind , i went to the track and got a crappy flat 16 then 16.1 Best run was 15.7

With stock probe GT ecu I had run a 15.5 and je50 vaf. With k8 ecu I ran 16.

With probinator ecu and je50 vaf i ran those crap times. The torque IS there. Like on street driving but on the drags it sucks so far. I got the crappy EGR codes however the CEL is not on. I got code 69? i think fan temp sensor I did wire it directly. I reset the tps tires @ 20 psi. SPIN alot 1st and second.. im quite dissapointed for now...

Sounds like it was YOUR crappy driving rather than the ECU....
