august 5. test and tune

Post by the_mx-3_man »

on august 5 at shannonville motorsport park is having i test and tune night from 6-11. last time i went, Waide "ProspectMx3" was the only mx-3 racing so i was thinking that it would be cool if we get some more mx-3's out to the track and made a mini meet out of it. It is $5.00 for spectators or $20.00 to race.

let me no what everyone thinks,
BEN

Is this not the same thing as Pay-Per-Lap. Not actually a race at all. $5.00 per lap or $20.00 for 5 laps. Whatever you purchase, you're given little tickets that are good for one lap. It's not required to do all of your laps at once or right away. Most will do a lap, perhaps make some tuning adjustments and then try another lap .... and so on. There's only a certain number of cars allowed on the track at any given time since there is minimal staff there and when there's a group that come up to the staging grid at the same time - they're allowed to enter at staggered times - 5 to 10 seconds apart - to spread the cars out on the track. Not 100% sure, but I think they try to discourage head to head racing. That's when sh%t happens..... right??
I hope I can make it.

this is not the lap race, its 1/8 mile track. it is $20 to race and you can go as many times as you want. if you want to read up on it the web site is http://www.shannonville.com

I had wondered about that ... because they seem to only have the circuit racing pay per lap once a month .... hmmmm

 1/8th mile?? Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll pass and wait for the Pay-Per-Lap in a couple of weeks. I like the idea of using the long track.
