I'm leaving my place in about 15 minutes. We can meet at one of the off ramps near your place. Cell phone will be on in the car, number is in the Toronto Contact thread. FRS Ch.3, see you later Krish. And anyone else going down too. BTW, this would be a great Kodak day too.kp2t wrote:If there is a cruise down to London I'd join into that!

yah after changing my strut mounts which rusted and were not holding the strut in at all, after they were changed I found out I have a dead strut on the driver rear, Its just funny cuz I changed all four of my struts last may and this is my second defective one.... I changed the Passenger front about 2 months ago under warranty, sucks that this one I need replacing is not under warranty
after all that, I just wasnt in the mood to take a long drive on a dead strut

Hey guys thanks very much for the hospitality. I had a good day and all. Joe, I hope I didn't meddle too much in your belt install on Brandon's car. I've never done a belt install and didn't think one could get one bank 180 degrees out of sink. The only thing I could think of was that when Brandons pully broke it made the belt jump or bypass one bank of cylinders and placed them out of sink becasue of the lack of tension on the belt. it's the only thing that came to mind after. David told me later that you guys finally got it running and just neeeded to get the bugs out and do the fine tuning/timing.
David, thanks for being such a great host. And thanks again for the great food. The ladies should know that you do know your way around the kitchen......we all know how much they like that..... LOL. But you're going to have to ditch that "Kiss the cook" apron though..... LOL
Tom, great multi-club meet!!!! Lots of real great looking rides. Turbo'd, SC'd, you name it was there. That new BMW M6 was just too much ..... V10 engine and all. I forgot that Detroit Red Wings guy's name that was driving it though. We all remember what his g/f looked like though.... wooohooo!!!! Let's say that the ZE isn't quite geared to keep up with the BMW M6, but he didn't pull away that much either, so I was impressed with the ZE's performance. David likes the way my CAI whistles and hisses .... BOV style almost ....LOL.
It was nice to meet John from Cambridge - MX3Autozam (sp). The RSX type S Police car was pretty nice too with all of it's after market goodies.
Tom, will you host/post some of the pics you took here? Or at least pm me the one you took of my car, if you could. Much appreciated.
Again, David, Joe, Brandon and Tom, thanks so much for your hospitality and friendship. I had a great time. cheers

I was at the joint meet with vitalmotion. grabbed a ride with a friend with a protege5. Too bad my car isn't running completely yet to come down to London. It was also my first time meeting Tom, John and David. Seemed to be very nice people and had nice cars. I hope you guys will be able to come to the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge area sometime this season to a meet. My car will be running very soon.
Heres some pics from the meet

And for those that were there this is my car. Pictures are from last week. Theres some changes being made. CAI and a new Valve cover. the one we all like that says V6 DOHC 24-Valve.

it was good to see you again John, it has been a while since the last time. The car is looking good as always.
John(mx3autozam) it was good to finally meet you. Even though you didn't have your car out, but glad you were able to make it.
The meet was fun.. more cars in that lot then ever before at any joint meet.
btw here are a few pics that I took...

jschrauwen wrote:Brandon and Joe, is the car operational now? Just down to fine tuning? I wonder if the disty clean-up made a noticeable difference for you?
yah its operational, Hes taking it to a mechanic to put a timing light on it and dial in the disty, since we messed with it alot
btw the crank was out 1 turn, like you said it was on the exhaust stroke instead of compression.... when we took the belt off and turned the crank once around, put the timing belt back it started right up
