well got to hit the track last nite. i JUST got my car swapped to MTX thursday and got it driveable yesterday.

detail:

oem clutch
k8 ecu
probe flywheel
2.5'' catback
HAI intake

600 feet elevation


run 1 was bad as all my car wanted to do was spin the tires all thru the first 2 gears


2nd run was some traction issues but not as much as the first run

track was st. thomas dragway in ontario canada

1st run:

60' 2.7546
330' 7.0577
1/8 10.5278
1/8mph 71.66
1/4 15.8887
1/4mph 91.29


2nd run:

330' 6.7709

very very nice how is your launch ......consider drag radials ...... many wonders!!!! off the launch... none of that 2nd/3rd gear chirp.just keeps pulling

yea i do wanna get some drag radials/slix that should help alot and the track was very slick which caused me to spin thru 2nd as well :(

Man, you haven't had that for a week, i doubt the clutch is properly broken in...you may regret that torture to your clutch later

why are you using a probe flywheel? Those times seem to be about average.

cuz the mx3 flywheel i had had millions of cracks in it that couldnt be machined out so i needed a flywheel asap and the probe one was cheap and didnt need to be machined so i took that one for now

dude, your clutch is going to be toast in the near future, allways break in your clutch.

Breaking in a clutch is essential. We already talked about it. Actually I remember recommending to do a trip rollover (1000kms) for your clutch's break-in period. A clutch break-in is said to be 500miles of stop-and-go use. 500 miles is roughtly 800 kilometers, but just to be safe, and give an easy to track round number. 1000kms/the trip meter roll over. If say take her easy now for that amount, you can probably still salvage the clutch, no more burn out, clutch drops, drag racing or reving beyond 4k for that time. Yes it's going to be tough, and tempting to, but for the little that it will be, you'll have a clutch that will hopefully last you a while.

kool the exedy clutch holds better and is apparently a nice clutch :D

My excedy lasted a year .. i diodnt break it in.. it glazes easily if you dont break it in.

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

im not even driving it..i cant my trip permit expired and my flex pipe broke off so i couldnt drive it anyway...i was saying when i fix my exhaust which is when i can drive it again i take er easy..
