Hey *Le Smartarse*
I for one know your "you beaut" harnesses aren't available everywhere and even if they are they come at a cost. (And I should add an unnececessary one for anybody with any sort of basic skills.) You should be able to see that he has a problem that WILL NOT be fixed by taking your advice. So back off on the crap. Its obvious he's adapted his wiring so being a smartarse ain't gonna help anything except YOUR ego. Just shut up if you've got nothing constructive to say.
jorgesamaniego3, theres a wiring diagram here:

make sure you got that BLUE / RED wire hooked up to constant power to maintain the memory function. If you need any further help, let us know.
Cheers and welcome to the forums!

Considering he's probly spent over $100 on a head unit, I don't think $9 (shipped) is too much to ask for a clean install. Yes, going straight from wire to wire works, but you confine your workspace. Using a harness you can make all the connections outside the car, which makes the work go faster, look nicer, and it's easier to change if he ever wants to put a different head unit in (it's also easier to change if you make a mistake. I realize it's a little late, as he's already cut into the wiring, but it's never to late to learn.Grants wrote:I for one know your "you beaut" harnesses aren't available everywhere and even if they are they come at a cost. I appologise for answering his question and trying to show him another way to do something.

hey thanks for the wiring diagram!
now I understand why i had that problem..
But my car some years ago had an accident and the wiring its strange... there is the interior and exterior lights of the car there too... and I dont know where to connect them... the cables are red and red/blk... thats another thing that keeps me worried... I think that I should take my car to a professional... o the guy that fixed my car some years ago... what you think? can it be done by myself? or not?
