Eliminating scratches?

Post by fowljesse »

I have a black GS with a million tiny scratches. I'd like to not have to buff them out, because I won't have much clear coat left, but will if it's the best way. They don't go past the paint, but some are through the clear coat.
I'd like to hear good results, from specific products. I used the Turtle wax color match w/ the lipstick thing on my black Mercedes, and it worked great, but didn't shine.
Thanks!

I tried tons of scratch removers without ANY luck when I first purchased my car. Even on the very minor scratches it didn't help at all. Hopefully someone here has some suggestions for you. My car goes away monday for body work and repaint... that's an option...not the one you want to hear though.

get the car wet sand and re-cleared...

then , because it's black, when those new tiny scratches come back in 10k you'll have a couple coats of clear to buff out...

Great idea. Do you know how much it would be just to shoot it? I'll sand it myself.
