Full restore of a 93 GS SE Dash question
So I'm fairly new here, and ive got some questions about these cars. I've got a 93 GS Se, in the blaze red. I love the seats, but hate the dash, as is the issue with these cars. I want to know if anyone has ever swapped a dash from a 94+ into a 93-92. I'm gutting the car and starting from scratch so im not overly worried about labor. More like, is it a direct bolt in?

Yes, you can put this dash in, but you may need to due abit of wiring and also you will nee all the heating ducts from he new dash so that your heating works. The bolt on points are the same I beleive, it has been done before so may use the search option to look into this. There has been some topics recently.

The 94s use a electronic heater selection panel and thus you'll need all the wiring and heating duct work, fan, ac parts and vent selector from a 94.
The bolts points on the dash are the same from what I've seen so the acutal install should be pretty easy. Find a good parts car and take everything under the dash to make sure you have everything that you need to make it easy if you run into a issue.
Good luck, it is a good bit of work. (maybe a full weekend or better to pull and replace)

My 94 RS has cable selectors - so you might be able to get away with just the dash from an RS.PATDIESEL wrote:The 94s use a electronic heater selection panel and thus you'll need all the wiring and heating duct work, fan, ac parts and vent selector from a 94.

I have a 95 RS with cable driven climate controls.
There are a lot of changes between the first and second gen of dashes. I'm not sure if it will make much difference but there are slight variations in the framework of each dash, particually under the steering column... At least thats what I remember. I might be wrong. It's been a while since I threw my parts car out.
