I've used pretty much every product out there for cleaning these damn plastic headlights of ours...

The only thing i haven't used is Meguires Plastic Cleaner..

If you get the full 3 bottle set of NOVUS its awesome..

I start with #1, do two coats with a microfiber cloth..
then do #2 with a microfiber cloth..
then do two coats or more of #3 with a microfiber cloth..
then one more coat of #2 with a .. guess what? microfiber cloth..
then do 2 or 3 coats of #1 again..

Doing that twice on each light got them completely clean.. it even took off some of the paint that the idiots i bought my car from had sprayed on the bottom of the light...

The stuff works.. and i got the whole set on ebay for about $13 bucks. :P

dude: Novus is the s---

i used it on a nasty discolored scratched to all hell plexy fish tank and came out like new, and i mean like Bran Spankin New. did you do it by hand or use a cloth buffing pad on a drill gun? that could be where you went wrong. it wont come out as good by hand. by using the drill and buffing cloth it will heat up the plastic and actually melt the top layer off with the compound.

I use Novus at work. We use it to polish scratches out of acrylic awards. Novus works great.. but it requires a bit of elbow grease to use. Also.. the #3 polish is for deep scratches.. unless you have some serious gouges in your lenses.. its overkill. #2 will work just fine.. though may require multiple applications before the lens is buffed clear. I cheat and use my air drill and a polishing pad.. takes about 5 minutes per lens. Last time I did my lenses was almost a year ago.. after polishing them I used some future acrylic floor wax on them to protect the freshly polished surface. By the look of my lenses now.. its time for another polishing. But once a year isnt too bad. Hope this helps.
