what kind of subs? because 300 watts for 2 10's that seems a little weak. You might be able to throw 300 to each sub. I say look into it see how much power the subs can take.

i have 2 920w kendwoods runnin 550 to each of my 12' subs and they sound really good, got rockford power 6.5's in the front and rockford punches 5.25 in the back and 4 tweeters hooked up in the front and back....got a 1 farad capacitor runnin it but i need another one my battery is weak. but ya for those id hook up another 300 and hook each sub to an amp or get a 1000w to it no problem. whatever kind of bass u want gotta get a big enough amp and power to do it and big enough wires as well

If those are your first subs, it will be fine. You need to learn how NOT to blow them up (the speakers and the amp). Upgrade later after you've had some time to experience with what you have now. Besides, 2 subs with 300watts each will drown any speakers running off of the head unit and no amp. 150 each should make for a good balance with what you have.

it's a good start....., a bit down the track, when you've got excess money  you can chuck in a bigger amp for the subs, and use the 300W for your speakers (not that you'll be able to hear them!)
