windscreen

Post by Chemical »

Hi I posted in the general mx section but havent had any resposne so thought id try here.

My windscreen rubber seems to have pulled away from the roof in the top corners. I don't know if this is the way its supposed to be but it dont look right and there is some bubbling on one side. dont have a digi cam so cant show you but its where the roof channels meet the top corner of the windscreen and theres a gap of a about 1/4-1/2 an inch!? Looks like a real water trap. The rubber has curled under and away from the corner. Anyone else have this problem and do you need a new rubber fitted?

my cars the same way, and the all the metal around the window is rusting, you can actually pull my window a good 1/2 inch away from the car and stick your finger inside the car.... fortunatly for me the window is getting replaced next week as it is cracked.

i dont know about your problem, but get it fixed before you have major rust problems. Bochek

Thanks Bochek. I thought it was dodgey looking but was hoping to hear from anyother members here if there is supposed to be a gap there at all or if the screen rubber should be flush with the corner of the roof.
