Think im getting an MX-3!!!
Wo0t Wo0t!
ok i had sorta gave up on the MX3 thing with my dad cause he was dead set on finding me a car but today when i was working at Jiffy lube some dad pulls up in a red MX3. so im like i have to see if its true that there too small. so i run out greet the guy etc. and get in. now remember that this guy is lke 60 and has his seat halfway up and were are not aloud to move customer seats. I love the way the car felt! it didnt have to same feel as a camaro, but i wasnt expecting it too. so today i come home and tell him and he was like "Well, i found you a car, but it will be YOUR car so would you rather have an automatic nissan with t tops, or a hardtop 5 spd?" and i was like 5 SPD! so he talked to my mom etc and im pretty sure hes atlesat thinking about it! WAHOO! Anything i should look for problem wise? For instance, 4th gen camaro t top seals leak, 3rd gens have problems wiht the automatic hatch etc.

Aside from the CV joints going out with low mileage and the occasional window creeping I think they are great. The window creeping down (just a little...not even an inch) I think probably has something to do with taking the doors apart and then putting them back together. I did not have that problem on mine until we changed the door speakers. I have heard a few others talk about this problem also. The CV joints are no big deal. I got ours replaced for $204.03 (that is including Tax and Labor). Take one for a longer test drive...get the RPMs up to about 5000 or more and you will see how fun they can be. And about the car being too small...I am 6'3" and drive one all the time.
Oh yeah...about the Camaro problems.....BUY IMPORTS...GM products will "Nickel and Dime" you do death. Import parts are more expensive, but they last longer.
[ October 08, 2001: Message edited by: RanMan ]
