HOw much air space do I need?

I want to put a 15 " sub in my car and am going to build my own custom box.... How much air space do I need for it to work?

depends on sub and box type. I would say about 2.5 cubic feet in genearal..

The sub maufacturer will have a secification for the amount needed for that specific speaker. If you want the best sound/speaker life possible from it, so use their recomendation.
