if your getting a new motor. . .
if you want a new engine then buy the tranny with it , but be prepared to make a nice whole in your car i would suggest checking out a mx3 that is stick so you can get a good idea of what your getting yourself into or you can just sell your car skip the hastle and buy a 6 cylinder manual trans there you will get the speed and the manual transmission always check to see how much a project like this is going to run ya $$ cause it might not be worth your while . i don't know if this answered any ?? but hey this is what i would do if i didn't have stick !

Well, this is what I'd do:
I'd get a G25RM to start off.
Buy a MSP LSD and install that.
Get the clutch pedal, shifter linkages, shifter assembly, manual master cylinder, slave cylinder, hydrolic line, and other misc. linkages.
Check and see what axles you'd need.
With this transmission you can run a B6T (1.6 DOHC Turbo), a BP (1.8 NA DOHC), or BPT (1.8L DOHC TURBO) without worrying too much about toasting your transmission. BUT with just about any motor swap you have to remember to change the electronics (the right ECU and wiring harness).
