i was just looking on the outlaw site and it seems as though the tb gaskets for the k8 tb differ from the gaskets for the ms8 (curved neck) tb. are we sure that i can use the stock throttle body on the curved neck IM?

A KL68TB or KL47 TB will suffice. The key here with the curved (if it's a Millennia) IM is that the IAC on those 2 are on the right and will not hit the thermostat housing union whereas the KL31TB and KL03?TB have the IAC's on the left. Those four TB's are 60mm whereas the KL08 is 55mm.ovendenk wrote:thanks for the quick reply. it's a temp solution for now until i can get it bored out or get the appropriate kl67 tb. i think that's the one i need.

a K8 tb will not fit a curved neck millenia/ze manifold, the shape of the gasket is quite different.
you can only use a kl47 or kl68 throttle body on these manifolds

You could always fab a gasket with some sheet gasket material. As long as the IAC didn't hit, I wouldn't see an issue. If it's something where the idle and IAC ports on the backside would be sealed like on my KLZE TB/626 intake manifold setup, all I had to do for that is Dremel some reliefs in the metal back there to allow them to breathe. Then, for a K8 TB on a Jap spec manifold, you'd have to tab into the brake booster for IAC vacuum. If it's a US spec manifold, then it should have a vacuum port for the IAC.Gro Harlem wrote:a K8 tb will not fit a curved neck millenia/ze manifold, the shape of the gasket is quite different.

The k8 Tb will fit on the curved neck IM, as long as you keep the spacer. For the gasket issue, clean all surfaces and just use sealant. It'll not leak at all, whatever the shape of both Tb and IM surface.

NO it will not fit!
and there isn't any "upgraded" throttle body that will fit a K8 manifold since the probe/mx6 one has its IAC valve thingy on the wrong side, which gets in the way when installing it.
