OK who has the little wood board in the back of there car. All you need to do is messer out the speakers and if you ahve a dremel and a few cuting disks and start cuting. What i did was make a hoole smaller and started grinding out the hole till it fit i will post some pics tommorow morning. I will also take some pics of my girl freinds car and my buddies car that has 18 speakers in the car.

An oval speaker cannot produce a proper sound wave as a round speaker can. It is simple physics.
In most cases those who want 6X9's are looking for more mid bass from their system. However when these same oval speakers are asked to produce these lower frequencies along with the higher ones, there cannot help but be a sound quality loss.
Why not go 6 1/2's and put a separate pair (or one) of 8's along with whatever sub you are using in some sort of custom dual box setup? (lots of options) Then each speaker can do its job and take care of a specific freq range. Your sound quality will be much better in the end. IMO

Since sound in the car is supposed to come from the front, I only installed some GOOD 6.5 Focal Polyglass component kits in front.
Hooked up to a Nakamichi CD-400 and an Audioson LRX-5.600 (running in 3 channel mode).
By far the best sounding car system I`ve heard so far (and I`ve heard systems that cost 5 and 10 times as much)
Put decent stuff up front, and forget the rears.
nope-mx3

Nope MX-3
I had a Nakamichi CD Tuner 1 I bought wayyyy back in '92. It died on five or six years later. But I have to say, of all the cd players I have owned....8 to be exact, that Nakamichi was one of the best sounding players I have ever heard. Even to this day with all the technology advancement.
It was awesome. I hope you like yours!

if u want sound from the front, u can use ur head-unit to move the sound to the front, atleast i did.. i have the sound set louder in the front then the back...
and the main reason for my 6x9's was the deep bass before i got my duel 12's... now i wish i could put my smaller ones back in, but i still get nice sound if i want the sound in the rear
**EDIT**
9/20/05- took my 6x9's out and made custom speaker holders since i didnt have the stock holders anymore... went to smaller speakers and they sound much better....
