Funny actuator story

Post by TekPmp »

So I installed aftermarket door lock actuators about 6 months ago and just hooked them up to my alarm today. As im running the passenger side wires in to the car I notice a small factory actuator already installed hidden pretty well under the door's sheet metal. DOH all that work for nothing. Anyway I was just curious as to how the driver side lock and passenger side actuator "communicate" ....I looked at the driver side door lock and didnt see any wires that would send a signal to the passenger side causing it to power lock.

thanks. joe! :D

there is wires that go from the driver door boot to the door lock relays that drive the actuator it the passenger door. thereis no need to use two actuators just one in the drivers door. There has to be wires running into the doors because the speakers have to work some how. The wires will be in the same hareness as the speaker wire.
