help, rpm problem

ok, my car wont go past 4000 rpms when in gear and I floor it, it will if i give it half thottle but really SLOWLY. I'm not sure but I think it might be a VRIS problem. I've checked for any vacuum leaks and everything seems ok, My TPS is good, no codes are showing up, I tried clearing my ECU, nothing i'v done has fixed it, any ideas to the problem would be much appreciated.

hmm, have you reset your tps? what about injectors..have them cleaned out.... ive tried everything on my car and in jectors would be the last thing i guess... we got the same problem..except that after installing my knock sensor the car came back to life...still wont pass 90 mph.

yea, i have reset my tps, just put an injector cleaner through it too, I was told it could be a timing problem, but I'm not quite sure how to check my timing
