gauge pin broke...

Post by drafious »

MY mate broke my fuel gauge pin while installing my new gauges.

Do i take this to an automotive electricin or is this something i can take apart myself...

Also my rpm pin does not respond well, as the whole pin came out when removing the gauge dial. do i shove this back in hard or is there a specific amount so that it flows like the other pins.

thanks in advance.

You can take out the rpm pin and stick it back in and work. But the temp and fuel gauge, if you brake or the pin comes out, you can't put it back in. You can take the fuel gauge out by taking the plastic cover off and unscrewing 3 screws from the back. I would suggest to buy a new cluster. Ebay sell them for like $25.

Looks like I'm going to have to buy a whole cluster. The wreckers have one for $AU 110, that sucks but i guess it'll have to do. Thanks.
