magicfcb/david prpa scammer warning

Post by Dali »

I had bought some gauges off this guy near the end of april. sent a cheque and it went through so he sent me the gauges, 3 weeks later and still no gauges. i was told that they were returned to him so he sent them out again. they never showed up after another 3 weeks, they were returned to him again, he then offered me a refund which i agreed to, that was close to a month ago which also got lost in the mail. the last three weeks no response to my emails, very disapointed, i have been beyond patient, i have bought about 150 things off ebay and never have been ripped off. this is the first thing off the mx3 site i have bought and i got shafted, also the second item i bought off here is going the same way. i know probably near 100% of the people on this site are honest but it pisses me off to get ripped off, i could have used that 40 bucks to buy something else for my car, my gauges are probably still in his car or in someone elses now. i hope future transactions go alot better, this site still kicks *** even after being burned. allready bought some taillights and bezel off here in the last 2 weeks so i hope these go alot better. anyway needed to vent a bit. any help or info would be appreciated.

Hey maybe I can help, I know the guy, he lives down the road from me. I bought something off of him before too. Maybe I can go talk to him on your behalf to see what happened?

Here is a step-by-step solution if you care enough to attempt to have your money returned:

1) Organize all information: transaction, conversations via e-mail/mx-3 UBB/ etc., verbal agreement ( price asked, price paid, dates)

2.) Mail Fraud is a Federal offense. You need to file with compalints with US Postal Office and the Federal Trade Commision (FTC). The FTC is co-joined with the F.B.I. and the Secret Service so they will (should) follow up the complaint. Google search for the form(s), easy to fine.

3) Go to your local police station. Ask to speak with a dectective or officer. Explain the situation and have them contact the person to have them explain their situation. Before hand, have an ultimatum so the officer can dictate to them. IE) Mine was, have money by reasonable X-date, or persue further by law suit. BE SURE!!!!!! To have the officer write a report stating that you were at the police station, this officer called this person on X/X/Xxxx, this is what was said, this is the case #, and what the agreement was.

4.) You can also call the scammer's local police and file a complaint there.

5.) Additional -- If you paid via PayPal file with them. You can also have a lawyer write a letter to the scammer informing them of you actions you will take if they do not comply.

I hope that helped and hope you get your money back.
