well...there is a difference between a puss hole and a ubb with somewhat free will. instead maybe u should just let people curse every now and then, just show the lack of intelect. its like mama always said "stupid people curse" :D i think half the time whe actions are taking its done by a few, and outta that few a certain someone ruins it. if a post needs to be closed just close it, but a certain someone has to get the .02$ in and then close the post. then people get angry and start the whole thing over again...
but hey what do i know, and for the people that do care i got a 93 on my accounting test :D :D

alright, i know that im one of the last people that should be talking, but i agree with The_Great_Tonge (sorry bro dont know your name, mines jordon, lol) like yeah you have to draw a line, but i have been on some of the other boards just to check them out and they allow everything on there, i realize that they are like honda boards and hondas suck, (jokes) but the only reason why you think you maybe babysitting some is cause your make it that way, like we are all pretty much adults on here, i know that some dont act like it (myself included) but this should be a fun place, i personally think and so do some others i have talked to that if it was lightened up around here, i honestly believe people would post more, its when people start getting bored that they post stupid things, (once again, myself included) i do realize this is your site and you can do what you want, when you want, but treating people like kids is not the way to do it, i do realize some on this board may not like me, or may not like things i say, but oh wellll, and untill interesting things start getting posted, im going to continue how i talk, and once again, i personally think its the "immature" people who are keeping this board somewhat alive right now, but once again as it has been said many times before, thats just my two cents.<p>
peace :D

ive tried to talk to that certain someone and all i got was "In the end im the moderator and ill do as i like", but if thats the way it is so be it...but about the sig thing i personally think it should be like this. allow them as long as they are not big, or racist or thing to that EXTREME. if someone says they hate hondas on there sig ahhh let em. if you do see Jesus Christ or sometinbg like theat i feel its find. like before andrew said he could care less about seeing sigs, but thats crap(not being mean :D ) its easy for him to say tha because he does have his car as his lil buddy thing. its the way for us lesser UBB members to shw our cars and other things. but hey its ur board in the end and its ur choice, but wouldnt it suck knowing that you drove away members over something like this

Here is a perfect example of two message boards with neither bashing nor vulgarity.
www.mini2.com/forum
www.minicooperonline.com
I am on these boards daily and there is almost twice the traffic on mini2 than here. Zero bashing and extremely minimal swearing. I see a few damns here and there. Take a look.

Basically I think it's like this... like most parents say to their children:<p>"If you live under my roof, you live by my rules... otherwise you get out!"<p>I think it's more than fair... since they pay the bills and stuff... when you live there for free...

I would love to see more intelectual, thought provoking discussions but I digress, I go without. I wonder if it is the "immature" attitudes that keep some valuable "pioneers" away. Vaughn has a wealth of knowledge to contribute but I never see him here, that goes for Abrams as well. <p>Like Jarid stated, this board is not unit to its rules. Go to Miataforum.com, same engines, you could learn a lot. The fastest and the quickest Miata owner's in North America participate heavily in discussions there, I wish that could be said more frequently here.

Unless the admin puts a size limit in place for sig's, it's only a matter of time until members start using sigs that are freakin' huge.
