Check This Out

Post by Ruben MX-3 »

You guys/gals think if we get enough people with precidias or that would be willing to buy one to sign a page.....
and send it to mazda so they can make a new future model of a mx-3 precidia.... you think they would if we get enough people??

Heh youd have to get a huge amount of people. A company the size of Mazda wouldn't spend thousands of dollars to make a car they already did they didn't meet their quota of sales.
Get around 10,000 people and maybe they might.
I'll sign it for ya :)

It will not happen because the mx-3 is not practical and now a dayz practicality is a big issue when making new automobiles. I would love a new mx-3 but the name mx itself is remotely from a concept model and mazda at that time was into coupes until ford changed all that. This is one of the conditions the rx-8 had to meet as well as any future mazdas.
On the bright side the short lived mx cars will be collector items eventually so keep them nice and mint!

Im not selling my mx-3.... Im gonna end up keeping it like my dad did with his camaro..... 1977 he bought it when he was in highschool just about the same time i got mine and he still has it.... so thats what im gonna do with my mx-3... not only will it be a collectors but it will also hold alot of history and emotional value..
why sell it i'll never get what i paid for it... im keeping it!
P.S. I'm Still Pretty Sure We Could pull it off if we tired hard enough... theres alot of people with az-3's presso's ect around the world... so if we talk to alot of people maybe we have a chance.... its worth a try!
[ April 14, 2003: Message edited by: ALLSPEED GiNO ]

I think there is a niche for a new MX-3, just look, Mazda doesn't have anything to compete with the RSX, Celica, Focus SVT, I guess the Mazdspeed Protege but that isn't really the same. I'd sign the petition.

These kind of petitions/requests never work.
Unless they are constantly over a period of time receiving lots of mail about it then I don't think anything would ever happen.
Even if you got 10,000 people to sign something, they would probably say "oh that's nice" a brush it a side.
Now if 10,000 people wrote 1 letter every month asking for a new mx-3 and keep doing it then that would definately get their attention.

Ya I could afford one, but there is nothing wrong with my current one so I can't see spending $17K or whatever a new one would cost just to replace the same thing that I have. :-)

...not enough people wanted the original MX-3, i dunno if you guys got the 2.0 323 or not, but even that didn't sell enough to continue, i think a coupe version of the MX-5 would be cool though!

Here, in America (Canada and US) it is the best seller car for Mazda ;) The 2.0l is selling like hot bread.
And there is a Coupe version of the Mx-5.. the M1 concept.. not a mass production car yet.. :

Ooops!, the SP20 323 was way overpriced here, hard to compete with 2nd hand WRX's etc!
