Flashing Hold Light

Post by BoOdOg »

Hello,
I was getting a flashing hold in my car awhile ago, I took it to someone and they had it fixed in under 5min. So I am going to post this to try and help anyone I can. There is a bolt that is made of white metal and seems to cause this issue. "Fluid Film Superior Lubrication" Anything used to free bolts would probably work
:D
[ June 19, 2003: Message edited by: Bo0d0g ]

the bolt starts to stick after time, so you can 1 replace the bolt. Or just use a fliud to lubricate the bolt to freeze it up. That is what I did I notice a difference in 1 no more flashing hold light and two my car seems to shift easier

I read the same post. My hold light would flash if I was in heavy stop start traffic. After spraying that bolt with a penatrating oil, I've not seen the hold light flash since. I cant work out what the oil had freed up, but it works.
Jeremy

it did fix mine, and also fix others. So yes. Give it a try. Or you can replace the bolt.
