quick question regarding ATX

Post by Sonicxtacy02 »

I'm hopin to get a quick answer on this. I'm goin off of memory here.. but isnt there a screw somewhere on the exterior of the tranny that adjusts @ which rpms the tranny switches? I'm thinkin its under the pan but i may be mistakin. I ask cause my car is back from aamco again and there is absolutely NO torque from takeoff. I have to floor it and change gears to get anywhere.

Have you checked the online manual? I wouldn't think so though, surely that's what the tranny computer would do?

the tranny computer can only do so much. Hydrolic pressure is what makes the tranny operate. There has to be some way to control that hydraulic pressure.

Yup Shaun, there is an adjustment. Unfortunately, I cannot remember where exactly it is, as I am short. ;) If i remember correctly, it is easily reachable by popping the hood. When I had my spare ATX installed two years back, I remember the shop telling me about it. I have some 2.5 ATX questions for ya. I will be emailing you shortly.
