Title edited for spelling.

There was a post a month or so before for that specific issue on this board.

well to get sponsored, you pretty much have to have your car all done already. and performance places will want you to have their products in you car and their logo on the outside of your car. and you need to have won a few shows, then they might. even after that some like unorthodox racing want your car featured in a major magazine, with their logo in the pic. then they will sponsor you and refund you the money that you put into their parts for your car. its kinda a hassle unless you get a silent partner or something. most are more likely to sponsor a honda than a mazda MX3 anyways.

the owner of the company i work for lives in Japan, and comes and checks the progress of my car. and he says he will sponsor me as soon as i get some track time in. so thats whi im going AWD. to stand out from the pack, and for Drift. cause its getting pretty big rite now.

well talking to some people with AWD. AWD is actually supposed to be pretty good for drifting. RWD is ideal. but AWD is just sweeter, and you get better launches for the 1/4 mile. i guess if you use the rite tranny and have a limited slip in the rear you wont have a problem drifting at all. it throws 57 percent of the power to the rear wheels and 43 percent to the front at all times. so iv debated about the two alot and AWD is easer to do, and you will get better times in the 1/4 mile.

And after you get sponsered you can find a sponser who has the electronic torque converter so more is sent to the back then to the front then you can have like different settings; ie drift, track, street, highway.

Those are pretty sweet, but I would suggest finding a sponser for that part cause if I remember they run up to around 6-7 grand....
