Like I said before that your trap times are too low for a ze. you should be at least in the mid 90's.

Dang I'm not saying anybody is slow I'm just wondering what kind of factors are causing these klze times to be slower than others. Of course many factors come into play when at the strip, I'm just wondering what everybody has, which may explain the not so great times. Chill. This is not to critisize, which i havent done anyway, its to learn.
Get a true straight neck ZE as I am sure that some people are running the 170hp curved neck kl03 and think it is a ze.

I dont know, but drag racing isn't so much to do with the car, more the driver. If you have 5 people race 5 brand new cars, lets pick a hard one to drive...the honda s2000 (with its low torque) and see the difference in times. Everything from how fast you shift, to how much rpms you drop the clutch at, to how much you ride the clutch while shifting, whether you power shift the first couple of gears, whether you take your engine to just before fuel cutoff. There are so many factors. On the other side - if you take 5 automatic corvette zr1s the times will be identical. anyway, I really dont see how anyone could be dissapointed with the klze swap. The engine is amazing. anyhoo...
