moroso (south Florida) 3/28/03

Post by andy »

I'm planning another visit to my local test and tune 1/4 mile track. I'm still dissappointed with my last visit, got rained out without any runs.
Remember this is florida and the weather is very
unpredictable, what looks good at home might be rain at the track. Plus the kids have free passes to get in.
This is also an invitation to join me at the track. I'd love to see someone, hint hint, show up with a KLZE and help out with things.
I've also ordered Phenolics and plan to have them on before going. Should help with those long waits in line. Oh Yah, My daughter tells me I need to make more noise with the car, so I will probably be disconnecting the muffler.
One more note, this is a friday night with street cars only, so no worrying about the trailered cars.
Andy P, 93 GS

lol more noise? doesnt change your times at all.. the only change that could occur is a slower ET.. due to loss of back-pressure :p
Sold my 95 RS "Little Peanut" but she will never be forgotten. :(

I think the cat has enough back pressure for that motor . my ze IS faster with the restrictor pipe out of the exhaust (without a cat) That is true.

my opoinion: backpressure is highly overated.
On that note, I am in the process of looking for and choosing a muffler replacement. I thought about the disconnecting and changed my mind. not because of lack of backpressure but because I don't want the fumes entering the car while waiting in line.

I'm hoping to see other people there. If someone sees a teal GS, don't be shy, I can get out of line and chat.
Andy P. 93 GS
