best all-season tires for winter?

hi everyone.
the subject pretty much says it all. which all-season tires have you used in winter weather (snow) and have been happy with? i dont want to get winter specific tires. please reply and let me know your experiences...

I got those Blizzak tires. They are pretty sweet. Work really well, compared to all-seasons

Winter specific tires are a must for the southern ontario 3 month season.....
