part no. and spring rate?
Is the correct part # for the ZX2 struts M-18000-Z2?
Second, does anyone know what the stock GS V6 spring rates were?

Re: part no. and spring rate?
Hey, is this the white MX-3 that ran at Nationals? I see youre from Kansas, and with a name like "H-stock MX3", Ive gotta ask. I got some video of the car after Friday's runs, as it was just parked. Never got a chance to talk to you though. I was driving the Tan Protege in STS in my signiture.
Anyway, if you havent seen it, http://www.automediazone.com/pro/ZX2_st ... all.htm
is the site for the ZX2 install. There aren't any part #s there, but there is contact info on who you need to get in touch with to grab the zx2 struts and thrust bearings.
And to answer your other question, Ive never heard the stock spring rates for any of the BG or EC chassis cars quoted.

Just as a side question, are you running any sort of larger front sway bar to try and keep as much static camber as possible?

Re: part no. and spring rate?
No, that was Greg Reno. My name is Joe Silva, I ran #195 ESP in my Camaro SS at nationals.
I was the guy who pointed Reno in the direction of the ZX2 struts. We currently have the exact set-up besides struts. I ran a couple of events since nationals in my MX-3 to see how i would stack up against him. My results were pretty good, within .2ths. Cant wait to put on the struts. I will be running in H-stock next year due to his success in the class. WOW, two MX3's at Nationals?
Reno runs a completely stock car except for the struts and an exhaust. My plan will be to hopefully try out the MS front bar, i think it may be too stiff but worth the effort. I may just get some kind of adjustable endlink setup through an F-body(camaro/firebird) speedshop that dabbles in custom stuff. We both run 225 Kumhos.
Joe Silva
Now in H-Stock

The ZX2 struts are definately a great product for the price, but you should try those Mazdaspeed Adjustables

Anyway, yeah, 2 HS MX-3s at Nat'ls would be amazing...almost as much as 2 STS Proteges were this year!
If the MS bar is too stiff, you could always try running 205s out back to dial out some of the understeer. The DS ITR boys have been doing that for a couple years and they keep winning, so maybe its not a horrible idea. Or start a letter writing campaign to Mazda to allow factory camber bolts

Anyway, next year I'll hopefully be running ES in a MR2 if all goes as planned.
