How difficult is it to change the ball joint myself. Or should I give it to the mechanic.

I just changed my ball joints last week and I found it very easy! I cant believe i was going to pay someone to do it. I would suggest that you soak the three bolts on each side with WD-40 and let them sit for 10-15 minutes before you start though. Good luck.
