Can we separate FI for 4cyl and V6s?
Can we separate FI for 4cyl and V6s?
I posted about this herein the UBB recomendations and no one else responded.
Maybe I'll have better luck if I put it here. I know Jeff wants to use a different software for the board in the future anyway, but I just find it to be a real pain to research forced induction on the board.
Re: Can we separate FI for 4cyl and V6s?
I don't see why we should have a different FI forum for 4 cyl and V6. The FI rules are the same for both engines.

Re: Can we separate FI for 4cyl and V6s?
different exhaust set ups, different turbo sizes, fitment issues, tuning issues, etc.
I know a lot of the stuff is the same for both. But my argument is that is what makes it more difficult. Lumping everything together makes it difficult to find what does apply and what doesn't. If I searched for something like turbo size or exhaust design for a V6 I'd have to go through all the 4 cyl stuff too.
It was just a thought to make searching easier.
Re: Can we separate FI for 4cyl and V6s?
I can understand that, but the turbo sizes don't differ that greatly from the two engines. The exhaust setups do tho, but not enough to warrent an entire section dedicated to it. If you look at the title, most of them will say the engine in there like "turboing a K8" or "T3 on a 1.8L" or "Turbo RS" which will help distinguish between engines. I personally think that there should be a pop up when you click the FI link that reads "Have you purchaced and read Maximum Boost by Corkey Bell" before it lets you in.
just kidding. I can feel your pain, but I don't see a reason to divide them since they both fall under the Forced Induction umbrella.
