TEC-III GroupBuy

Post by maldo »

Just thought some of you might be interested in this. It is a great deal and includes everything for boosted or non-boosted applications. As of right now, I am in on it.
TEC-III Group Buy
Not affiliated with this, not making money of this, blah, blah blah...
:D

I'm assuming this is a BP specific buy?
At any rate, I doubt the price includes side feed injectors for us V6 guys, which is the main reason for getting a stand alone [to control huge injectors for boost ;) ]

It includes 550cc injectors for the B series motors. The crank trigger wheel is Shiv's design so it will bolt right up to the B series crank. Not sure if the K series crank differs that much. You could get the base kit without injectors for $2050 and add your own injectors.

E6K is good but lacks many of the features that makes the TEC that much better.
-Crank triggered ignition (Haltech can but for an additional cost and custom work)
-GPOs
There are too many good points of both systems to pick one that is better than another. It all depends on the individual application.
BTW, you wouldn't happen to have a downloadable version of Haltech's software for me to play with would you?? I have been messing around with the latest version of WinTec and it is terrific but I would like to have something to compare it too.

here's a link for the two types of software haltech has: haltech software
the halwin doesn't have a d-load version but it has screen shots. the dos software has a d-load version. currently the e11 is the only one that is windows based. they are working on halwin for the e6k.
