Sean Matthews is the only KLZE turbo I've ever heard of. He's run 13.8 @ 105mph+ on street tires, 17" wheels, granny launching so he doesnt pop axles. Wait till he bolts the 13" Bogarts and MT's on....Should be a mid 12 second car. <P>More about it including pictures etc on my KL page on my website [linked in my sig].

Is there a reason that this set up is not very common? To me it seems like its the best thing for the mx3

(PGT, MX6) Most people are weary of the higer compression ration on the KLZE. The KLZE engine has a 10:1 compression ration while the KLDE has 9.1:1. Most turbo enthusiasts will say "lower compression engines are better for turbocharging" They believe this because of the fact that you can tune with more margin for error. You can run the same boost levels with less chance of detonation or preignition. BUT they don't realize that 8psi on a 10:1 CR engine will yield more BHP than 8psi on the 9.1:1 CR engine. In the V6 FAQ, there is a discussion on the pros and cons of the high compression turbo setup. Not too indepth, but it will give you an overall idea of what you're working with.
