boost levels? 8psi?
I was reading through all that mess on the nitrous fogger system and hp gains on stock internals a few posts down and the general consensus seems to be about 8 psi of boost on stock b6 internals (why i found this in a no2 post i dunno, but whatever). my question is what about B6T and BPT. in late august i want to start my RSr conversion and was planning on getting a BPT from corksport. I have plenty of experience with swapping engines but very little with turbos. Derrick @ CS was helpful but i didn't ask what kind of boost these engines are capable of (as i would like to eventually switch to a garrett t-3 or t3/4 hybrid). anyway, 8 is good but 10-12 would be better! just wanted to know if swapping for forged rods and pistons is req'd, and if it is, do i also need to drop CR - to 8:1 or somthing.

Max boost on a BP? I've seen 20psi done on a stock block and pump gas.

I used to know alot about MX-3's, but not so much anymore. Oh well.

Re: boost levels? 8psi?
there's no need to lower the cr being that the gt-x bpt already has a cr of 8.0:1. you'll have no problems running 10-12psi. the stock vj20/21 turbo is maxed out around 15-18psi.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.
