the supra turbo would be too big for the gs. you would have way too much lag.

i was wondering about the lag i was thinking if i could take a smaller turbo an have that as the first turbo then have that blow throught the bigger turbo making the lag on the bigger turbo smaller or just kick in faster....basicly making a boost for the turbo

that would be a sequential turbo setup. it could work, but since you have a v-6 and not an i-6, you would have to have both turbos after your headers come together. with the room in the v6, it would be next to impossible to fit all that in there.
but where there's no budget, there's a way. :D

i was thinking of having then ran from after the headers before the cat and having the turbos still kinda under the car an just pipe it to the intake
well if it will work

that's a lot of work. good luck. i personally don't think there's a benifit to doing it. one turbo with the correct turbine and compressor will do the job fairly well. you have to remember that the motor you want to put it on might not be able to take the amount of boost you would be giving it. be it too high of a CR or the internals aren't strong enough. there's a lot of research needed to get the right turbo set-up along with the tuning that needs to go along with it. also, turbo manifold(s) will have to be custom made. for the money it's going to cost, i'd just stick to one turbo....the right turbo.

If it's the 87-92 (I believe) it's runnin the CT-26 turbo. That turbo is smaller than the T3, which is a good choice for the V6 engine. I don't know what turbo the newer supras have but I would think the CT-26 would be too small.

They have the T3 turbo in them. They should start giving boost around 1.5K and should be fully spooled at 2.5K. The CT26 would be ok, but the T3 will be a better choice. Besided, yur engine can't handle the boost levels yur lookin for. Maybe 10PSI with GOOD tuning. The CT26 will give you little lag, but won't do the job as well as a T3. Like Dave said, go pick up Maximum boost by Corkey Bell. It will help you understand turbo's. Also there is a great guide in the latest issue of Sport Compact Car (july 2002) that will help you select a turbocharger.

Just go and find a t-bird I believe early 90's. You can also get a turbo off a gen 1 eclipse that will work well also.
