Question: 1.8L Turbo requirements.?

What "exact" upgrades would need to be done to the k08 engine for it to be able to hood boost of about 14psi? (asides reinforcing the bottom end).<P>Thanks in advance.

I'd go for the KLZE. It's cheaper and should give you about the same HP.

Thanks for the reply. my mech. told me that he will do the custom turbo for me for 1500 including the used parts. the cheapest full ZE swap in canada is 3000 dollers.(a-spec)<BR>im sure a mech knows what a A/F controls are, but for my knowledge would you mind explaining what that is, thank you.<BR>im sure he will be upcharging if i want an engine that can handle more boost than it is designed to recieve.

a/f = air/fuel.. <P>IMHO with ANY turbo set up you should have the ability to adjust your air/fuel mixture.. <BR>so you don't lean out and cause all sorts of horendousness (I know this is not a word, but it is late, leave me alone :D )<P>the are many many different systems you can get for this.. personally I am N/A all the way.. so I don't know a lot about turbos.. but i think that will help
