Re: Intercooled Turbo
turbo can be both oil cooled, and water cooled.
Check out my ride and leave some feedback please!

Re: Intercooled Turbo
intercooler is not a must have, tho highly recommended, esp. boost level above 8psi....and intercooler lowers the intake charge temperature and thus lowering the chance of denotation....but it still doesnt eliminates that probability...the best way to eliminate that is to get ur air/fuel ratio right and dont run lean....but having an intercooler can give u an extra margin of error....water injection is another method....but all are just safety insurance...the best way is like i said, get ur mixture right

Lots of aftermarket low boost TURBO setups do not include an intercooler, as this would bump the price up quite a bit.
Intercoolers are just designed to take away some of the thermal energy that is generated by compressing air. It is used as a barrier against detonation, and allows more power due to a cooler (therefore denser) intake charge. It is NOT needed in a low boost application, but it will of course help.
On a side note, ive been on here for like 3 days so far, and you are clearly the village idiot.
