Post by Sam Baker »

scroll down in the mazda section.. the price $1900 is a lot (not bad for a bolt-on though), but i totally want one. HAHA if only my parents didnt say, "you're an idiot" i would buy one on the spot LOL :D anywayz just thought if anybodies interested, here is a place you can get them.

decah's kits are not 'bolt-on'. you still have to drill holes for mounting the bracket into the door and inside the fender area. i have two friends with two different cars with this kit. same exact brackets and struts, instructions require you to cut and drill your own holes.

for real????
so then why do they sell certain kits for certain cars? and how is it that some cost more than others? from their descriptions, i thought it was suposed to bolt directly onto the stock mounting holes.. but that makes more sense actually. so, would you think a civic hinge/kit would work on an mx3? cuz they're insanely cheaper, and i got no problem drilling extra holes hehehe.. :D

well im not actually sure. maybe there are a few different styled hinges for certain cars that they did. maybe because of car design or something. the price may also depend on car rarity and stuff like that. im not exactly sure, i just know that my two friends got the same exact hinges for different prices for their cars.

they are definitately loving it. my friend got his a few months ago and he still loves showing it off and he loves opening it and closing it constantly. i wouldn't mind having lamborghini doors either. i'd say it'd be worth the money...if you want to go that far such as making your car a show car and etc.

the shipping shouldn't cost much if it wasn't free either. its just two main brackets, a few bolts, some instructions, and two small 'dampers' or struts for the door. it might also include some wiring to lengthen your wires that go into the door, but i believe those come with specific car kits.
