Hey guys, i'm new to this site and i would like to say hey to all of you! I have a 1993 GS with some mods, (Apex'i N1 muffler w/custom exhaust, Chip, PRM intake, Unothrodox Pulleys, Pacesetter Short shifter, 17* Racing Hart Cp01 rims, etc.) anyways...my front bumper shows some wear and i have decided to get a new Corksport MS type front. i have a few questions, what kinda process do they take to make the fiberglass? handlaid? and since there are two sets of lights on the stock bumper, and the MS one only has slots for two lights, how do i take those other ones off? and how much should i expect to pay extra to get a body shop to put the front end on> thanks alot guys<BR>~MX3 GS/Rs rules

I have the MS front nose and it looks pretty good. The fibreglass is ok and requires little to get it ready. My suggestion is to fit it first before you get it painted. The job is not that hard to do but if you want the people who will paint it for you can put it on for you, at least the guys who painted mine offered to do that. As for the two lights the side ones come off easily by unscrewing them and then twist the bulb assemly off and pop the bulbs out. Just place some tape over the assebly to stop water getting in and tie them up when you put the new MS nose on. You don't really need the side ones and it looks better without them anyways. The MS nose does not come with a grille so you need to make a custom grille or have them made. A few minor adjustments were made to my MS nose to seat the blinker lights properly. I had it on my black RS and now it is waiting in my basement to go on my GS SE when I have cash to repaint it. By the way it makes a good companion to the PRM intake. If you want to feed fresh air to your intake (see some of the mx-3 websites on how to do this),The left hole on the MS nose and the cut/widened hole almost line up and fresh air is directed towards that cut hole, therefore no hole to cut into the bumper to feed fresh air to your PRM.<P>hope that helps

The CS MS-style front nose is actually hand-laid fiberglass. You could always email them. They would know how the product is made more then people who have bought it. <P>I'd like to see more front ends come out for the MX-3 personally. There is a bagillion MS-style ones running around. And the FX one is not really in everyone's taste either.

so, do the "big" blinker lights fit directy or is some cutting is requried....that may sound stupid but i dont wanna shell out 300 bucks and end up messing it up....<BR>you guys rock

In my case, yes I had to do a bit of cutting to fit the lights. But don't let this put you off because they are hidden and easy to do, plus you have a template, your old bumper, to work from. take one of your blinkers off and see how it seats in the bumper. there is an L groove where the one half of the light hooks under, I had to lengthen the long part of the L groove on my MS nose to seat the blinker properly. That was my case, yours may not have that problem. Only way is to get the nose and test seat one of your blinkers and then go from there. If you decide to go with the MS style nose, post your email address and I'll email you some details and pics on how to do the whole job from my experience of doing it before.

Yes in my opinion but it is up to you. I would anyways because it looks good and keeps junk from the highway out of your radiator like stones etc. I used plastic gutter leaf guard in the role from ace hardware for a couple of bucks and a hot glue gun to glue it on after it was painted. Not brilliant but did the job great for me.
