Post by mattster »

Anybody got any idea of how to cover up some rock chips? Do I want to go with touch up paint, colored wax, or some TV "miracle product". HELP!!

i had the same problem, i bought the gs-27 crap you see on tv, it works decent for smudges but doesn't work at all on chips, or if the paint is scraped away. i don't know if there is anyway that works for stone chips, i just ended up repainting the whole car. i hear the turtle wax stuff works good for smudges and small scratches but i don't know about chips.

Hey Rick, can you post a picture of your hood? I have the same chip problem on mine and maybe that will work for me. And the detail info will help out too. Thanks !

That would sound Great if you could do that. How long did it take you think overall?
I tried just putting touch up on the spots and then wet sanding it down, but now I have circles of where the old and new paint meet. Im tha freaking Poka dot king!
Thanks
