I meant to post this here in general:
Ok, here's my lis of problems...
When i was driving doing about 75Mph or so and was needing to come to a stop quickly, well i lay on my brakes and I'm pretty positive I had it nailed to the floor and she didn't lock up brakes nor stop nearly quickly enough..... The pad's appear nice and think and such. Now the back brakes I dont hold very well as far as I can tell, I put on new pads, taped the auto adjuster a little so that the drum would fit back and when i reverse and hit the brakes either nothing or worse. I dont know if the back is not engaging which I suspect could be the problem. Someone please help me out here. Also I think I might hear a pop from the front brakes every once in a while and if I am sitting at idle and hit the brakes hard the idle jumps a little.
please help!

Re: Brake Problems
You probably need to flush your brake fluid. You see that brown goop thats in the brake reservoir, it's suppose to be clear. It's suppose to be done once a year. Most cars it is never done. You may also want to look into better front brake pads. Most brake pads are junk and will overheat very easily when stopping from highway speeds. Autozone carries performance friction brand which are a nice step up. If you want even better than that search the net for Hawk HP.

Re: Brake Problems
ok, well my other post was locked so....... That could be a pressure problem with the front, how about the autoadjusters? Both are doing it so it seems unusual.

Re: Brake Problems
Auto adjusters work off of the e-brake. So you can back up all day but it wont do anything.

Re: Brake Problems
Ive been told to reverse and hit the e-brake, hit the e-brake, etc... Still no good in any case. It doesn't seem to adjust, it is VERY loose.
Re: Brake Problems
ok, i tested and im pretty sure the auto adjusters are ok.... I went to autozone and had them pull a drum so I could look, mine is 1/3 the thickness of that thing! I think i now know whats wrong
